At Little Blue Pages, our mission is simple — empowering families with knowledge.
We understand that discovering your child has a disability or additional need is life-changing. It’s a journey that can feel lonely, confusing, and filled with challenges. That’s why we created Little Blue Pages, a one-stop directory to help families navigate the complex SEND world.
Our directory is packed with practical information, including:

About Us
The Little Blue Pages
We are parents and carers of children with profound and multiple disabilities. Through our own experiences, we have navigated the complex world of special needs support, and we understand how overwhelming it can be.
Why We Created The Little Blue Pages
When we first began our journey, we faced countless obstacles—long waiting lists, confusing paperwork, and a lack of clear guidance on the services available. We spent years gathering information, learning from professionals, and connecting with other families in similar situations.
The Little Blue Pages was born out of a need to share this knowledge in one easily accessible place, so no family feels lost or alone. This is more than just a directory—it’s a community-driven resource built by parents, for parents.
Little Blue Pages
Our Founders
Claire Stewart
Claire has 3 children, Ethan, Bailey & Charlotte. Bailey was born with a life limiting condition and he is her inspiration and drive for Little Blue Pages. Claire lives in Washington and her background is in admin/branding and management.
Amy Howes
Amy has one daughter, Aoife who is undiagnosed and has a lot of complex needs but comes with a lot of smiles. Amy’s passion is advocating for parents around medical care, receiving the care families need for themselves and their children and sharing knowledge which she has gained from her time working in home health care. Amy’s background is within health and social care, working with children and adults with complex medical needs.
Where it all started
Our History
History
2012-2017
The Early Days – Finding Our Path
Long before Little Blue Pages CIC was officially formed, we were just like many of the families we now support — navigating the complex and often overwhelming world of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). During this time, our founders spent years learning through personal experience, gathering valuable insights, building connections, and finding those hard-to-reach resources that families need but struggle to find. These early years shaped our mission to make life easier for others facing similar journeys.
2017-2019
Planting the Seeds
As awareness grew, so did our determination to share knowledge and build a supportive community. What started as casual advice and informal help soon became a shared resource for parents and carers. During this period, we began compiling information into a structured format — realising that if we were struggling to find help, so were thousands of others. The first draft was created and shared amongst families, peers and gained great feedback. The directory was updated every 12 months thereafter to include more information and resources to strengthen its purpose. These efforts laid the foundation for what would soon become Little Blue Pages.
Future
2025
Launching Little Blue Pages CIC
In 2025, Little Blue Pages officially launched as a Community Interest Company (CIC) — a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering families through knowledge. Our goal is to make navigating the SEND world easier, less isolating, and more supported. With the support of incredible partners like The Special Lioness charity, we continue to expand our directory of services, create connections, and provide up-to-date guidance for families who need it most.
2026 and beyond
Growing Together
Looking to the future, we aim to grow Little Blue Pages into a nationwide trusted resource. We’re working on adding more services, tools, and real-life support for families and professionals alike. Our dream is to ensure that no family ever feels alone when facing a SEND diagnosis and that help is always just a click away. Together, with our community, we’ll keep building, learning, and supporting — because knowledge is power, and no one should have to navigate this journey alone.
